By train:
The smartest and most comfortable way to reach
Vernazza is to travel by train. The station is located
in the centre of the town.
For train schedules we
recommend to use the Italian railway's website: www.trenitalia.com
For connections all over Europe you should use:
www.sbb.com
By car:
Driving on the freeway from the north you exit at "Levanto-Carrodano"; coming from south or from Parma
you leave the freeway at La Spezia and follow the
signs "Cinque Terre". The road to Vernazza is tiny and
windy.
Since Vernazza is a traffic-free zone you will
have to park in a non-guarded car park, about 1km from
the town center. From there you can use a shuttle bus
to come to the village.
This shuttle bus runs almost
every 20 minutes.
At the car park, there is a fee for
parking between the hours of 8:00 am to 8:00 pm
(20:00), everyday from March to November.
The price
this year is:
1 hour - Euro 1.50;
1 day - Euro 12,00;
1 week - Euro 70,00
